Preserving nature

The painting pictured is of Canyon Lake, a resevior in Arizona that the Salt River runs through. It is a truly beautiful place. As I write this there are extreme fires going on in the southwest and west. The drought continues and it's now considered a mega drought.  I use nature as my subject matter and would like to see much more done about climate change to protect our natural world.  We all have a lot to lose if we lose our precious resources and Wildlife is suffering because of it too. I saw an ad in the Sierra magazine that  the Arizona DNR is asking for donations so that they can get water to Wildlife in the state. These are some pretty dire circumstances. Having said that I am committed to donating proceeds from the sale of my work at 20% of the painting to the AZ DNR, particularily if it is an Arizona scene. I already donate 20% of my work to the Sierra Club when a painting sells as well as provide them with regular donations. I am not boasting but want you to know that I very much appreciate nature and the wildlife that inspires me to paint.  These organizations are doing the action it takes to bring about change to improve our environment.
