Surprise Snowfall

There was an unexpected snowfall in the Sonoran Desert, creating a beautiful contrast of snow on cacti. Phoenicians were out enjoying the snow that they rarely see. When the sun was going down I took photographs and made a small study of the scene. I used the study to create this painting, adding the pinks and violets one sees as the sun descends. This painting is gallery wrapped with painted sides. Frame is optional.
