Moccasin

Moccasin is a Great Horned Owl who resides at the Soutwest Wildlife Conservation Center. She cannot be released and will live out her days at the center. She has huge golden eyes that fixate on you, but she is friendly and calm. When I painted her, I visioned her perched on a tree limb, scouring her surroundings for prey, as the full moon shined down to light her hunt. The canvas of this painting is wrapped around the edge and can be left unframed if desired.
